Master or Mate of Fishing Industry
    Vessels (COLPAC-295)

This course will satisfy the exam requirements for
adding a Master or Mate of Fishing Industry Vessel
endorsement to an MMC endorsed as Master or Mate
150 tons or greater.

Subjects include Safety and Uninspected Fishing
Industry Vessel Regulations.

Prerequisites courses or endorsements.
  • A Master or Mate 150 tons or greater near coastal
    or ocean endorsement or course completion
    certificate is required.

USCG approval:
    Any applicant who has successfully completed
    your 8-hour Master/Mate Fishing Vessel (Near
    Coastal) course and who presents your Certificate
    of Training WITHIN ONE YEAR of the completion
    of training, will satisfy the examination
    requirements of 46 CFR 11.205(f) for original
    issuance, 46 CFR 10. 227(d)(8)(C) for renewal,
    and 46 CFR 10.209(f) for re-issuance of a license
    as Master or Mate of Uninspected Fishing
    Industry Vessels (Near Coastal), -- PROVIDED--
    that they either hold a current license valid for
    service on near coastal vessels of at least 150
    gross registered tons, OR have satisfied the
    examination requirements for a license as Master
    Not More Than 200 Gross Tons (Near Coastal)
    WITHIN ONE YEAR prior to license application.

Course Registration and Schedule
This course can be scheduled from 8AM to 5PM any
Monday that the school is open.

Registration is on the first day of the class and requires
a photo ID and full payment for the class. Acceptable
methods of payment are cash, check or credit card
(Visa or MasterCard).

This course is taught in a self-study formate and
scheduled one student at a time as classroom space is
available. We can generally schedule this class with a
few days of advance notice.
