USCG Approved Courses
The primary service provided by Columbia Pacific Maritime is USCG approved
courses. We maintain a total of fifteen approved courses the meet the exam
requirements for deck endorsements for service on uninspected vessels and
vessels of less than 200 gross registered tons (500 gross tons / ITC).

Consulting Services
I provide consulting services for Merchant Mariner Credential applications and
open book renewal exams for deck endorsements.
Basic Consulting Session ($50 / Free to enrolled students)
A basic consulting session includes review of the application package to
insure all forms are completed correctly and the application package includes
all the required documentation. This takes about 30 minutes. Additional
consulting services is billed at the rate of $50 per hour.
Renewal Exam Consulting ($50)
The renewal exam is an open book exam that the Coast Guard will mail to
you and give you 30-days to complete using a resources available to you. I
am an available resource. You can fax (503/841-5086) or email
(dennis@columbiapacificmaritime.com) me your completed exam and I will
grade in with comments and return it to you for review.
Please do not stop by unannounced as I am generally busy with students
and they always have first priory. Call (503) 841-6066 to get on the schedule.

purchased from this website and have been used by several approved
schools and universities for this purpose.

courses are turn-key ready for submitting to the National Maritime Center for
approval. Price depends on the course you are interested in. Please email me

All workbooks are authored by Dennis Degner and are the same workbooks
used in the approved courses. The intent of selling these workbooks is to
provide students with a cost effective source of study material to prepare
them for a successful course. If you purchase a workbook prior to taking the
course, and bring it with you when you take the course, the cost of the
workbook will be credited towards the cost of the course.
