Assistance Towing Endorsement
Any USCG license of 200 GRT or less, including an OUPV license, may be endorsed for Commercial Assistance Towing. This endorsement authorizes the holder to engage in commercial assistance towing within the scope of their license. Mariners with licenses for towing vessels or with licenses greater than 200 GRT may engage in commercial assistance towing without this endorsement. No sea service experience is required for this endorsement.
